Widening the ambit of women empowerment and gender justice, the Citizen Empowerment Division of the school has been facilitating Vocational training classes since the school’s inception for young girls and women from the nearby communities of Mohammadpur, Humayunpur, Adarsh Basti, Azad Basti and basti near R.K Puram. There are three training classes namely, Computer Literacy, Dress Designing and Beauty Culture. The course are held in the school premises at 2:00 pm onwards from Monday to Friday. 

Computer Literacy: The Computer Literacy classes are held in two groups, one includes basic foundational course and other is the NIIT Foundation affiliated course. The duration involves 3 months wherein students get hands on learning in computer applications. The course culminates with appropriate assessment, there is periodic internal monitoring also. 

 

Dress-designing: In enhancing the enterprising abilities of the women’s group, the dress designing has proved to be highly effective, the course is of 1 year, the students access the sewing machines in the school and there are periodic test and annual assessment. The course is run with the help of Wednesday’s Charity Club which provides several layers of scaffolding to the Facilitator and students. 

 

Beauty-Culture: The course is meant to capacitate young girls and women to equip themselves with the foundations of beauty culture, the course is patterned for 6 months Basic and 6 moths Advanced course, the students also get monthly training from external entities and experts to help them keep pace with the changing trends of the industry and market. The Wednesday’s Charity Club have been lending their support in the course since its beginning. 

 

English Education Classes: Further on capacity building, the students are given training in foundational English Speaking Course on all Monday’s in the school, this not only helps the women’s group in employing the knowledge of the language for the effective service delivery but also helps build a positive self-esteem.
