The Fourth Sara Mathew Memorial Lecture was organized in the school premises on 25th July 2009, in memory of the late founder of the school. The lecture was delivered by aneminent social activist Mrs. Aruna Roy, the founder of Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan and Ramon Magsaysay Awardee 2000. she spoke on ‘The Joys And The Challenges Of The Road Less Travelled’. Mrs. Roy has resigned from the prestigious post of an IAS officer and has wholeheartedly devoted herself in empowering the downtrodden people of Rajasthan. For her this was not a sacrifice rather it is a fulfilling vocation. She’s also the founder of Right to Information which is the basic right and ought to be exercised by all. The students were impressed by her oratory and joined wholeheartedly in raising slogans with her like ‘hamara haq, hamara hisab’ and ‘trishul nahi talwar nahi, har haath ko kaam do’. She would remain an example for all ST. Marians as the path she chose has really made all the difference …
